Tapes Segment
W T K Holdings Berhad (“WTK”) and its subsidiaries (“the Group”) operate the tapes segment through Loytape Industries Sdn. Bhd. (“Loytape Industries”), a manufacturing facility in Penang, Malaysia, with an annual production volume of 14.9 million m². Loytape Industries is Malaysia’s sole manufacturer of cellulose tape and a leading producer of various pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes. For over five decades, Loytape Industries has led the industry in researching, developing and producing adhesive tapes for home, office and industrial packaging applications. Supporting WTK’s tapes segment, Loytape Marketing Sdn. Bhd (“Loytape Marketing”) operates marketing offices in Penang, Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru.
Central Mercantile Corporation (S) Ltd, the Group subsidiary based in Singapore since 1969, is a leading distributor, importer and exporter of self-adhesive tapes and packaging products/materials.
The tapes segment serves a wide market base, including homes, offices, and industrial users, with major export destinations such as Australia, Singapore, China, India, Hong Kong, Canada, Thailand, Africa, Europe and the United States.

Loytape Industries and Loytape Marketing have achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification for the design, manufacture, supply, marketing, and distribution of self-adhesive tapes and related packaging materials. This certification reflects the Group's focus on maintaining the quality, safety, and efficiency of its products, services, and systems.
Continuous Improvement and Environmental Focus
As a pioneer manufacturer of adhesive tapes, the Group is dedicated to providing quality products and prompt services. The Group continuously improve our products, services, processes, and systems to meet customer needs and comply with relevant statutory and regulatory standards. Regular reviews of the Quality Management System ensure its ongoing effectiveness and alignment with WTK’s strategic direction.
In 2023, Loytape Industries upgraded its cellulose tape coating machine, slitter machine and solvent recovery system to improve operational efficiency and cost competitiveness while enhancing environmental sustainability. These upgrades help optimise production processes and reduce environmental impact by minimising waste and improving energy efficiency.
In FY2024, export sales accounted for 65% of total sales (FY2023: 67%)
