Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO) Policy
The plantation segment has also established a series of MSPO policies to align with WTK’s sustainability direction and demonstrate its commitment to responsible, transparent palm oil production. The Group’s Forest Management Units (FMUs) operate under Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) policies that prioritise ecological integrity, legal compliance and community engagement. These policies focus on conserving high conservation value forests, preserving biodiversity, applying reduced-impact logging and involving local and Indigenous communities. They provide a clear framework for the timber segment to manage resources responsibly and align operations with WTK’s overall sustainability direction through sound environmental and social practices.

Non-Compliance Management
The Group adopts a structured, corporate-wide approach to managing non-compliance with internal policies, supported by clear procedures to identify, assess, investigate and follow up on such cases. This framework includes monitoring mechanisms, reporting channels and corrective measures to address any incidents of non-compliance.
Different departments are designated to oversee compliance in line with their respective areas: for example, the MSPO Certification Department conducts internal audits on compliance with the MSPO Policy for the plantation segment; the Forestry Department monitors adherence to all Sustainable Forest Management Policies for the timber segment; and the Sustainability Department coordinates the compliance status of other internal policies across the Group.
The Internal Audit Department also performs independent reviews and compliance checks on policies and procedures. When potential policy breaches are identified—through audits, internal reporting or whistleblowing channels—they are assessed and, where necessary, investigated. Substantiated cases are addressed in accordance with the relevant internal policies, which govern any corrective or disciplinary actions. Significant matters are reported to senior management and the Board, reinforcing a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Stakeholders may raise concerns related to internal policy non-compliance via the “Contact Us” section on our official website. In FY2025, there were no substantiated incidents of non-compliance with internal policies reported through formal channels.
