Our Performance Monitoring

WTK defines Lost Time as any work-related injury or illness that prevents an employee from performing regular duties for at least one full scheduled workday or shift after the incident, with data reported for employees only and aligned with international occupational safety standards. Continuous monitoring, training and preventive measures are in place to strengthen workplace safety and reduce future risks.

Trend Insights

Safety performance improved significantly in FY2025, with recordable work-related injuries declining from 40 cases in FY2024 to 3 cases in FY2025. The Group maintained zero work-related fatalities, zero lost-time injuries and zero lost workdays for both employees and contractors. The substantial reduction in injuries indicates improved safety awareness, stronger operational controls and more effective incident prevention measures across the Group.

Benchmarking

Against DOSH Malaysia’s national benchmarks (occupational injury rate 2.22, fatal injury rate 2.06), WTK performs better in overall incident rates while maintaining a zero-fatality record.

Compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (Amendment) Act 2022

Looking ahead, the Group will comply with the Occupational Safety and Health (Amendment) Act 2022, which comes into effect on 1 June 2024. This legislation integrates the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (“OSHA”) and the Factories and Machinery Act 1967 to provide a comprehensive framework for workplace safety and health across all industries.

The amendments aim to strengthen employee protection, expand the application of OSHA, increase penalties for non-compliance, and assign additional duties to employers, further reinforcing our dedications to safeguarding our workforce.
